Tree Fern - Dicksonia antarctica

Hardy, striking, rainforest-type native fern with huge, dark green fronds emerging from a very fibrous brown trunk. Each leaf can reach 1.5 metres in length making for wonderful displays in the garden.

One of Eastern Australia's most iconic native tree ferns. Prefers shade, but will tolerate sun in some situations.

Please note: our tree ferns are sold as a trunk with or without foliage (depending on the season).

Plant approx the bottom third into the ground. Keep well watered in summer. Prune off lower fronds as they age, and new ones will grow from the top in the centre.
