Podophyllum versipelle 'Spotty Dotty' is an unusual low-growing herbaceous perennial which is ideal as a filler beneath deciduous trees in shade. In spring, new growth of deeply lobed umbrella like rounded foliage appears, marbled and spotted in chocolate maroon. In spring, it produces crimson, long-petalled flowers that hang below the foliage. This is a lovely contrast plant to have in the garden. Fertilise throughout the peak growing seasons with preferred fertiliser.
