Why not try something different? Maybe the kids (large and small) would like to have a try at growing their own peanuts! Grow them in pots for fun or in the garden, add nitrogen to the soil. Peanuts are highly nutritious containing 50-55% oil and 40-45% protein. Peanuts need a warm growing season approximately five months to mature and are very frost sensitive.
