Orange Bergamot 17cm
A unique and sought-after citrus hybrid variety, 'Bergamot' is an attractive plant with flavourful fruit. Fruit skin comes in green, yellow, and orange hues, and is valued for its fragrant oils, which are often extracted and used in perfumes. Flesh is sour - not quite as bitter as lemon, but more so than grapefruit - giving 'Bergamot' a unique flavour profile and various uses in the kitchen. The rind also has a number of cooking applications, making 'Bergamot' a perfect addition to any chef's garden. Fruits from late autumn to early spring. Grows well in the garden, or larger containers and pots.
