A cultivar well-suited to warmer climates, with excellent colour for landscape contrast. Flowers are a spectacular deep rose-red, extremely prolific, blooming through the summer months. Foliage is a superb, glossy dark purple, and hardly fades with time or sun, making it desirable for the warmer, harsher Australian climates. It's also highly disease resistant, making it great for areas with prevalent powdery mildew. Form is good, an excellent large shrub or small tree, with an upright, oval-shaped, and spreading habit. Stunning in landscapes, and can be a great specimen plant, or a stunning contrast planting in even smaller gardens, if size is kept under control.
