Caryopteris × clandonensis (bluebeard) is a compact deciduous shrub valued for its fragrant foliage and clusters of vivid blue flowers that appear in late summer to autumn, attracting bees and butterflies. It forms a neat, rounded habit and flowers on new season’s growth, responding well to pruning in late winter.

Planting conditions: Full sun and well-drained soil; drought tolerant once established.
