A hardy, vigorous, and tall shrub with attractive, deep green foliage. 'Hiryu' can achieve height in excess of 4 meters in ideal conditions but can be pruned to form a neat large hedge. 'Hiryu’s' deep rose-pink flowers stand out brilliantly against its foliage and make a beautiful display from autumn well into winter.

'Hiryu' is suitable for planting in both, full sun or lightly shaded positions.
