Bougainvillea is a vigorous, evergreen climber or sprawling shrub known for its brilliant, papery bracts in shades of magenta, pink, orange, or white. Flowering heavily through the warmer months, it adds vibrant impact to walls, fences, and containers in sunny, sheltered spots.

Planting conditions: Thrives in full sun and free-draining soil. Drought-tolerant once established and responds well to pruning. Best suited to frost-free or protected climates.

Mature size: 3–5 m tall x 2–4 m wide (with support or space to spread)
