Avocado Hass 5L

A vigorous, evergreen tree with an upright growth habit and lush green foliage. Produces small oval fruit with a very rough 'pebble' textured skin. As the fruit matures it starts as green and turns to a dark purple once ripe. The seed is small, perfect for shelling. Fruit matures from September - January. The appearance of the fruit isn't the most attractive but this is one of the best varieties for its flavour. The fruit has a strong nutty flavour. Less cold-tolerant, young plants require protection from frost. Fruit falls from the tree when ripe.
