Lagerstroemia indica x L. fauriei 'Lipan' Tree - 25cm Pot

A cultivar highly resistant to common Lagerstroemia diseases, with superb colour and year-round interest. Summertime flowers are a delightful lavender shade, blooming in large panicles on current season's growth - pruning annually will encourage stunning floral displays. Foliage is spectacular, with summer dark green shades, and excellent autumn hues of lighter oranges to russet, keeping visual interest high even after flowering has concluded. Winter interest is kept by stunning bark, growing dark greenish-grey, and exfoliating after a few years of growth to stunning white-beige underbark, creating a stunning textured effect. Form is ideal, growing with an upright, vase-shaped habit, with slight spread at the crown. Branches are multi-stemmed and somewhat irregular. Stunning as a standalone planting, but looks fabulous in rows - good for around buildings, along fences, and against walls, where a row of plants adds an excellent element of colour and depth to its surroundings.
