Venus Fly Trap Carnivorous Seeds

The Venus Fly Trap was the first plant to be recognised as carnivorous. The ultimate villain  of the plant world  it sets and springs an elaborate trap, luring its victims to the snare by the promise of sweet nectar. The trap suddenly seals shut when the unsuspecting insect activates one or more of the fine trigger hairs by accidentally brushing against them. After the insect is digested the trap re-opens ready to catch the next victim. Highly erotic and fascinating one can only wonder how a living thing, without a brain, can execute such an ingenious plot.
