Waratah 'Shady Lady Crimson' 20cm

Telopea ‘Shady Lady Crimson’ is a hardy, vigorous Waratah hybrid celebrated for its large, fiery crimson-red flower heads that bloom during spring. Developed for improved garden performance, it features lush dark green foliage and a tall, upright habit, making it an excellent feature plant or screen. 'Shady Lady Crimson' is a hybrid of Telopea speciosissima and T. oreades, making it tolerant of cooler temperatures and increcibly low-maintenance, as well as attractive to native pollinators - perfect for adding vibrant colour to native and wildlife-friendly gardens.

Like many natives, 'Shady Lady Crimson' performs best in well-drained, low pH soils. It has mild frost tolerance and requires moderate watering; be sure to keep soil moist during heatwaves and dry spells. Waratahs should always be treated with specialty native fertilisers, which are designed to provide Australian plants with the nutrients and soil properties they require.
