Acer palmatum 'Shaina' (Standard) is a striking, deciduous Japanese maple grafted onto a single stem to form a compact, rounded canopy of rich, deep red foliage that holds its colour beautifully through the seasons, turning brilliant crimson in autumn. Its tidy, upright form makes it an ideal feature tree for pots, courtyards, or small garden spaces where height without bulk is desired. Best planted in a sheltered position with dappled shade and moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Protect from hot afternoon sun and strong winds to keep its foliage vibrant and healthy.
Grows to approximately: 1.5–2 metres high and 1–1.5 metres wide.
