Laurustinus (Viburnum tinus) is a dense, evergreen shrub valued for its glossy dark green leaves and clusters of small, fragrant white to pinkish flowers that bloom from late winter to spring, followed by metallic blue-black berries. It grows well in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil but is adaptable to various soil types. Drought-tolerant once established, it also withstands coastal conditions and light frost. Ideal for hedges, screens, or as a standalone feature, and responds well to pruning after flowering.
