Sulphur is the best acidifying material for lowering the pH of alkaline soils. This is a pure Sulphur product with high analysis (99.99%) providing value for money. In alkaline (high pH ) conditions, nutrients become unavailable for plants to uptake resulting poor growth, hence neutralising the pH is essential. This is particularly important when growing acid loving plants such as azaleas, camellias, rhododendrons, Blue Berries, Blue Hydrangeas etc., as these plants prefer slightly acidic soils. Sulphur is also one of the essential elements to plants to form green pigment in plants and this product supplies essential Sulphur nutrition to plants.

Directions For Use

Lowering soil pH: Prior to application, test for the pH of your soil.  Determine the pH level to be achieved.  To lower the pH by one unit eg. pH 7.5 to pH 6.5, us the following numbers of grams per square metre:

Sandy Soil: 25-50g, Loam Soil: 50-80g, Clay Soil: 80-120g
